OUR VITICULTURE PRACTICE IS 100% ORGANIC
In the summer of 1977, we cleared the land and ripped the entire soil approximately 4 feet deep. That fall, we planted our vineyard with 3309 certified rootstock with a 181 French viticulture established clone.
For many years, our vineyard has produced excellent grapes which have been sold to some of the region’s best-known wineries and used to produce high-end wines.
OUR VITICULTURE PRACTICES
Our viticulture practice is 100% organic. We do not use pesticides or inorganic chemicals.
We use a unique trellis system called “open lyre,” which consists of 14 wires (seven at each side). The center is completely open in order to maximize sunlight and air circulation.
Our growing practice is to do three harvests: green harvest, variation, and clipping the shoulders before the final harvest.
